Silver Talon working on pre-production on the successor to “Decadence and Decay” after shows with Cynic and Atheist

The North American Heavy Metal band SILVER TALON emerged in 2017, in Portland, Oregon. Combining classic Heavy Metal and Power Metal influences, they have carved out a prominent place in the music scene with their energetic and catchy music. SILVER TALON was founded by members of the band Spellcaster, who decided to embark on a new sound project. In 2018, the band released their debut EP, titled “Becoming a Demon”. The EP was very well received by critics and Metal fans alike, and helped establish the band’s reputation as one of the genre’s up-and-coming talents. With tracks like “Devil Machine” and “Warrior’s End”, the band demonstrated their ability to create powerful songs, with striking riffs, expressive vocals and virtuosic guitar solos. Years later, in 2021, it is the turn of the debut to be released, entitled “Decadence and Decay”.

Since then, they have performed several concerts, released video clips and other publicity pieces. The last release was the EP “Bloodflow”, containing two unusual covers: “The Only One”, by the masters of Hardcore Cro-Mags and “We Die Young”, by the icons of Grunge Alice in Chains. At the end of June this year, they played shows with Death Metal legends Cynic and Atheist, and now they are preparing to finish the pre-production of the new album. In a statement, they said: “Back home after shows with Cynic and Atheist on the ‘Focus and Presence Tour’! Big thanks to these guys for having us and letting us share the stage, we had a great time. Also, a big thank you to everyone who compared something at the merchandising booth. Your support keeps everything running! We are now wrapping up pre-production on the follow-up to “Decadence and Decay”. I’m a big believer in shutting up and working, so forgive us as we take a little step back and wrap this up.
